5 Smoothie Recipes to Jumpstart Your Day

In college, my health plummeted. I realized I’d never truly learned the basics of health. I knew all about diets, but nothing about a healthy lifestyle. So, I educated myself on nutrition and realized that greens were ESSENTIAL to a happy life. It didn’t take long for me to catch onto the craze of the on-the-go nutrient-rich lifesaver that is the smoothie.

Smoothies are how I GUARANTEE that I get my day’s worth of greens 80% of the time. I do this by making numerous Ziploc bags of fresh ingredients for 1 serving + then freezing them so that I can just grab, mix, pour, and go!

Here are 5 of my all-time FAVORITE nutrient-rich smoothie recipes:

**Feel free to add in any extra goodies, i.e.: Lotuswei Flower Elixirs, Protein Powders, Vitamin Serums, etc.**

   Ride or Die

  • 3 Cups of Kale or Spinach
  • 2 Cups of Coconut or Almond Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons of Trader Joe’s Super Seed & Ancient Grain Blend
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Tablespoon of Trader Joe’s Cocoa Almond Spread
  • 1 Cup of Blueberries

    Give Me A Boost

  • 1 Tablespoon Jnantik Coffee Alternative or Matcha Powder
  • 2 Cups of Coconut or Almond Milk
  • 1 Banana
  • 3 Cups of Kale or Spinach
  • 2 Tablespoons of Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon of Trader Joe’s Cocoa Almond Spread
  • 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil

    Savory + Smooth

  • 1/2 Green or Yellow Bell Pepper (de-seeded)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Trader Joe’s Super Seed & Ancient Grain Blend
  • 2 Cups of Almond Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Almond Butter
  • 2 1/2 Cups of Kale
  • 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper

    Oat Ya Glad To Drink Me

  • 1/4 Cup of Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup of Blueberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 2 Cups of Kale or Spinach
  • 3 Cups of Coconut or Almond Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of Trader Joe’s Cocoa Almond Spread
  • 2 Tablespoons of Chia Seeds

    Green Machine

  • 2 Cups of Coconut Water
  • 1 Cup of Kale
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 1 Cup of Spinach
  • 1/2 Cup of Blueberries
  • 2 Tablespoons of Chia Seeds
