THE YEAR OF THE RED FIRE ROOSTER!

**Disclaimer: We are aware that this is a chicken, not a rooster. 😛

Last February, I wrote a post on the year of the Red Fire Monkey ~ and I totally enjoyed it because I am a Monkey sign! The year you meet your birth sign year {which happens at age 12, 24, 36, and so on} is said to be very influential + energetically strong … so if you were born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993 or 2005, this year is your cock-a-doodle-doo wake up call!

Chinese Animal Sign readings can get very detailed when you consider not only your birth year, but birth month, day + hour. If you want something a little more personal, I like this site for a quick snapshot. Without bringing your personal signs into the picture, if you tap into the traits of the Rooster over the next 12 months, here is what you can expect for the…

Year of the Red Fire Rooster!

The rooster is inherently FEMALE + METAL, but this year the rooster is ruled by the element of fire. Fire can melt Metal, but Metal might not melt before Fire is extinguished ~ which means that we may be affected by conflicting influences this year (in our environment + physical bodies). Luckily, the Rooster never gives up or gives in – giving the dominant fiery energy a tenacious opponent.

+ Qualities of the rooster: punctuality, fidelity, loyalty, commitment, hard work, family values, logical, efficient, communicative, observant, honest, blunt, trustworthy, instinctual, ambitious, diligent, devoted, organized, boastful, eccentric, outspoken.

+ A year of great honesty. Ask for what you want, tell it like it is and don’t beat around the bush. Speak your mind + don’t worry about hurting someone else’s feelings with your bluntness. We all appreciate brutal honesty in the end, even if it stings a little at first. If you question your actions or words, ask yourself “Am I coming from a place of love?” to bring clarity. Don’t ever lose sight of how your actions, no matter how good-hearted they may seem, effect those around you.

+ Patience + hard work will pay off.  Don’t expect luck to be on your side. Work hard and be patient when watching your dreams and aspirations blossom + fruit. This year offers great potential for new opportunities + things to start moving forward. Opportunities will arise when the timing is right. When things seem unfair, inflexible or stubborn, just remember …

You can’t force a chicken to lay or not lay an egg when it is convenient for you.

+ Feng Shui tips: Decorate with purple {lilac flowers on your table, amethyst, paint a door in your home your favorite shade of purple}! Tidy up! Leave your home and workspace clean and organized so that when you enter, it feels clean, peaceful + controlled.

+ Lucky: numbers; 5, 7 + 8. Colors; gold/yellow + purple. Flowers; Gladiola + Cockscomb. Direction; South + Southeast.

+ Unlucky: numbers; 1, 3 + 9. Colors; white + green. Direction; east.

I highly suggest diving into your own research and finding out what this year means for you. Take into account your Chinese zodiac animal, Taoist element, star sign and moon sign. If you uncover any other exciting details I missed, I would love for you to share with us below!

Wishing you happiness, abundance,

health + adventure in the year of the
